Despite the loss, Mason pushed East in every set before falling in three highly competitive games, 25-21, 25-20, and 25-22. Under the leadership of head coach Jordan Drake, the Comets completed one of the finest seasons in program history, finishing 19-5 overall while earning GMC runner-up honors. The 19 victories tie for the second-most wins in Mason Boys Volleyball history, matching the mark set by the 2016 team. The only season with more victories remains the program-record 20-win campaign in 2012. Throughout the spring, the Comets established themselves as one of the area’s top teams with consistent play, resilience, and strong performances against some of the region’s best competition. The 2026 season will be remembered as another major step forward for the growing Mason Boys Volleyball program.
